Active/Passive Registration

Please decide between the two types of participation:

Active Participation

Your main task at the 23rd ESC is the presentation of your scientific work with a poster.

By presenting your scientific work in sessions with other active participants, you have a chance to win in a session.

All session winners will give an oral presentation and a scientific jury will choose the best ones who will be awarded during the Closing Ceremony of the conference. In difference to last year’s conference you will only be able to give an oral presentation if you win your poster session. We strongly recommend to prepare an adequate speech before the conference in order to be able to succeed in a possibly upcoming oral session.

Furthermore you can participate in other sessions or workshops and in any special or social event. Any active applicant who is not selected by our scientific jury is very welcome to participate passively.

Passive Participation 

Passive participants will have the opportunity to meet professors and to take part in the programme (for example in workshops, in social programme etc.), but will not be allowed  to hold a presentation during the sessions or display a poster.

Moreover, they can visit any session, workshop or lecture they want to. As an active participant you take part in the scientific contest by presenting  a poster or doing an oral presentation.

As a passive participant, you are allowed to attend all sessions, workshops and lectures. However, you are not able to take part in the scientific contest or win a prize.
