| Answer 2 What are the main topics? Please distinguish between sessions and conference topics. The sessions (scientific contest) covers all medical fields. This means you can send in your abstract coming from all fields of medical research. The conference topics include key-note lectures, workshops, panel discussions etc. The topic of this year is "Head forward". For further information have a look at this years' conference topics. | Answer 7 What are the guidelines for presenting a research work? You will find information about that if you click on the presentation guidelines. (Back to Top) |
| Answer 8 Does my abstract need to be in a special file format? We do not require any special file format. You may simply "copy and paste" your abstract into the appropriate field. A possible structure for your abstract is given in the application form. Please, pay regard to the letter-figure-guideline. (Back to Top) |
| Answer 9 Can I hand in an abstract about a project which is not yet finished? Of course you can. Please note that the participants will be chosen from the submitted applications by a scientific jury. Thus your project should thoroughly be described to convince the scientific committee of your work's quality and the significance of the results to be expected. (Back to Top) |
| Answer 10 Can two or more persons apply as authors for one abstract? No! Only one person is allowed to present the work and to be the exclusive author. Other persons, working on the same project, may apply with their own abstract or can be mentioned as co-authors. (Back to Top) |

| Answer 12 What are the guidelines for sending in an abstract? Only abstracts submitted in English will be reviewed. They must not contain more than 3000 characters and should include the author's (and co-authors') name, mentor and the institution. Abstracts should not contain tables and/or pictures. Abstracts should contain a heading, aim, method, results and conclusion. Notice, that every single character regardless of which function (author's name, title, text body etc.) it is must be typed in Unicode! (Back to Top) |
| Answer 13 Can I submit a graphic within my abstract? Sorry, you actually cannot submit graphics together with your abstract. As our reviewers can estimate from what you write how good the described work may be, it is not necessary to send an extraordinary well designed paper. The only thing we want to know a little more in detail is what your work is about and what your methods and results are. (Back to Top) |
