The Charité is the Medical school and University hospital of  Berlin Humboldt University and The Free University Berlin consisting of  four campuses: Campus Mitte, Campus Virchow-Klinikum, Campus Benjamin Franklin and Campus Buch.

The medical complex provides an educational facility for 7,500 students in human medicine and dentistry, nursing education and nursing science.

With over 128 clinics and institutes it is the largest university hospital in Europe.

The Charité hosts more than 3000 scientists and over 1000 research groups, projects and cooperations and provides the link to a large national research facility. With more than 1 Million € of external research money the Charité holds one of the top positions among the medical faculties in Germany.
