The theme of this year´s Conference is “Transplantation and Implantation – Trends in Organ Substitution”. The objective of the conference is to present and discuss the latest achievements in the exiting opportunities of replacing and enhancing human organ and tissue structures.
The programme will comprise of contributions of various medical disciplines, such as surgery, immunology, regenerative medicine and biotechnology and related ethical issues will be discussed. Transplantation and Implantation both have not just a long history, but a promising future. Current research could help to cure ailments in as yet, unknown levels of positive outcomes for patients.
The conference will take place from 17th – 20th September 2011, at the Virchow Klinikum Campus of the University Teaching Hospitals (Charité Universitätsmedizin) in Berlin, Germany. Over 600 participants from all over the world are expected and Keynote speakers will present their current projects on different aspects of the topic.
As is customary, there will be oral and poster presentations at the Conference as well as opportunities to compete for Awards and monetary prizes. Winners will also have their work published in the European Journal of Medical Research and all accepted abstracts will be published in the conference abstract book.
