With high blood pressure, obesity and diabetes being among the most frequent diagnoses of the metabolic syndrome, atherosclerosis is commonly known as "clogged arteries" and results in acute / life-threatening emergencies like myocardial infarction and stroke. |
Because prognoses depend on effective therapies, up-to-date knowledge of the most recent contributions from evidence-based medicine is important nowadays. Gender medicine establishes gender specific aspects that guide both, treatment and prevention. The area of prevention focuses on theory and practice: Cooking lessons for adults explore this intersection.
